Here's a soft, sweet Moscato that has plenty of ripe fruit flavour - pear, musk and citrus - with rose petal hints. There's a hint of spritz that makes this a lovely choice for summer afternoons. With 6 per cent alcohol, it's a good choice for weekend lunches or brunches.

Palate

The aromatic characters are reflected on the slightly spritzy palate of this very light bodied wine. There's some sweetness at the start of the palate, but the flavours are nicely controlled by a line of soft acidity, which leaves you ready for another sip.

Background

Moscato is traditionally a very light wine. This one is low in alcohol (most table whites range between 12% and 13%) and it's perfect either as an aperitif before a meal, or else as an accompaniment to fruity desserts and cakes. This is a wine that you can have just for fun when you want a drink and you are not sure what you want. It is also an ideal dessert wine with fruit salad, panettone, panna cotta with berries and any biscuit
