Roast quail matched with polenta and roast veggies.
Matured in French oak.
Bright vibrant mid gold with green hues.
Restrained nose with aromas of grapefruit, white peach and nectarine complexed by grilled cashew nuts and spicy oak notes.
Subdued white nectarine fruit is backed by a tight mineral like acidity on the clean crisp finish. Integrated, skilfully used oak provides excellent structure on the lingering finish.
The Dorrien Bin 1A Chardonnay is a pinnacle selection wine and for this reason the fruit parcels are selected from premium growing regions only to allow the production of the best possible wine. The Bin 1A Chardonnay is a show reserve wine and its natural acidity gives it the capacity for long term cellaring. Criteria for the fruit selection process is based on grapes having an excellent natural acid balance and an exceptional fruit flavour profile, so with these criteria in mind small parcels of super premium Chardonnay grapes were sourced from vineyards in Margaret River, Western Australia, Coal River Valley, Tasmania & Mt Benson, South Australia. Only the very best parcels were selected.
