A delicious, traditionally made vintage cava from Freixenet with crisp apple flavours and a complex lingering fresh finish. It shows all the hallmark citrus-fruit flavours of top class cava together with a creamy, textured finish.
Freixenet is a family company, situated southwest of Barcelona, which has been making Cava by the traditional sparkling wine method for several generations. This vintage Cava has been carefully created using the three indigenous Cava grape varieties: Macabeo, Xarello and Parellada. After its second fermentation in the bottle, it has been matured in their underground cellars for over a year. Macabeo produces a light aromatic wine of medium-high acidity. Xarel-lo yields a robust, high-acid wine and contributes power and depth. This is a high quality Cava, much appreciated by lovers of fine wines. It is completely natural and unsweetened, and receives the optimum bottle maturation time to create a perfect balance between body and acidity.
