SOUTH AUSTRALIA-BAROSSA VALLEY
Enjoy with eye fillet steak and baked potatoes.
American and French oak.
Lifted aromas of spice, dark berry and plum notes with harmonious layers of oak that complement rather than overpower the fruit characters.
The flavours are all dark berry fruits with a burst of chocolate and liquorice, moving evenly from entry through the mid to late palate. The tannins remain fruit-filled throughout, resulting in a soft and rewarding end palate leaving a lingering generous mouthfeel.
Bob McLean is a firm believer in the compatibility of Shiraz and the Barossa Valley, also in its ability to produce a variety of styles. He personally cannot understand why it is not a focus of more major producers! This wine is crafted in the classic Barossa Valley Shiraz style - bold, robust and richly flavoured with great immediate appeal and excellent cellaring potential.
