The touch of 'forest floor' behind aromas that suggest ripe cherries and raspberries is typical of this variety.
Spicy oak is just discernible, and drifts onto the front palate. It's a nicely fruited middleweight through the middle with tannins that add grip but never threaten to dominate. The finish is long and stylish.
