The Kidnapper Cliffs label was launched by the entrepreneurial Julian Robertson, owner of the Te Awa and Dry River wineries, and calls on the expertise of not only Te Awa winemaker Ant and his assistant Cam, but also Dry River founder Dr Neil McCallum and his winemaker, Poppy Hammond. "Ariki" translates to "The Chief" and wines bottled under this moniker represent the finest red blend from the Te Awa Vineyard for the vintage.
