The Potts family are one of Australia' true pioneering winemaking families. Frank Potts arrived from England in 1836 and befriended the Rev. John Bleasdale. A fascination with the rich alluvial flood plains of the river Bremer in the Langhorne creek area saw him purchase 120 acres in 1850 and name it Bleasdale. The wines selected to appear under the Potts Family label represent the best wines made at the Potts family winery (Bleasdale) each vintage and reflect the outstanding quality and style that Langhorne Creek wines are capable of.A.V. (Diddy) Potts (1902 - 1989) was Frank Potts' grandson and had a lifetime interest in photography, exhibiting his work, both nationally and internationally. He was also a winemaker at Bleasdale for fifty years. The photographs featured on the Potts family labels represent a selection of his best work.
