Ribbonwood Marlborough Pinot Gris 2015
The 2015 Marlborough Pinot Gris is made from fruit sourced from a mixture of sub regions and soil types in, which include; the stony, ex-river bed soils of the Rapaura and the heavier and more clay rich loam of the Southern Valleys. Each component brings something different to the wine. Richness, texture and weight are as important as fruit expression with this wine.
Cape Campbell Marlborough Pinot Gris 2016
An Awatere wine, and predominantly the super-cool Blind River, this is classic cool climate purity and brightness. Crops were heavy in Marlborough this year but a very favourable April weatherwise meant well-ripened fruit. The naturally low-cropping vines and dry conditions meant the Blind River benefitted even more with small, richly flavoured berries.
Remarkables Central Otago Pinot Gris 2016
This single-vineyard, handpicked mouthful is made in a generous style with great drinkability while showing the varietal purity and lovely balance typical of good Central Otago whites. Beautifully-ripe pear drop and white peach aromas lead to a flavourful, fleshy palate with excellent chalky texture and a juicy, moreish finish.
