Paradox Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016
Sourced entirely from the Awatere, the new frontier of the Sauvignon Blanc variety in Marlborough with a small portion from the super cool and super-flavourful Blind River sub-region of the Awatere Valley. A small portion of this blend was barrel fermented in older oak barriques which has given this wine excellent texture and an x-factor.
The Rocks Marlborough Pinot Gris 2016
marlborough is rightly famous for the Sav Blanc it produces, but this wine shows that their winemakers can also turn out expressive, distinct Pinot Gris, too. This is very nicely balanced to finish just off-dry but without cloying sweetness.
Warrior Cove Gisborne Pinot Gris 2016
A just-dry styled wine with excellent ripe fruit weight and lovely balance offering excellent drinkability. Fresh and well-balanced with good fruit ripeness it will be an excellent food wine and a nice aperitif.
Cable Station Road Marlborough Riesling 2015
This off-dry style offers great early drinking while retaining the classic Riesling hallmarks of minerality, white florals and acid line. It is enjoyable drinking now and will remain so over the next 3 plus years.
Trout Valley Nelson Chardonnay 2015
A lovely, refreshing, crisp wine with no oak influence. Clean tropical characters with stone fruit flavours balanced with hints of lime and a fresh finish. Serve chilled and enjoy at the Summer BBQ.
