Zonte's Footstep Chocolate Factory Mclaren Vale Shiraz 2015
You might expect it to be loaded with chocolatey oak but the truth is that it's a fruit-driven red. It runs a line of cocoa-like flavour but really it's more about blackberry and plum flavours, served in sizeable portion. It's a big wine for lovers of big reds, though at no time does it feel unruly or too over-the-top. Peppermint, clove and floral-like characters help to pretty things up, but that warm ooze of blackberried flavour is the wine's thing." 90 Points The Wine Front Australian International Wine Review (published Jan 2017)
