Winemaking History

We have grown grapes for New Zealand Wine Society’s Australian sister company, Cellarmasters, since 1996. We try and grow the best grapes to make the best wine, so the customer can enjoy Vasarelli wines. The opening of our restaurant so we can match food with Vasarelli wines. Best of all, the release of our own label, with our family name.

When we got double Gold in San Francisco.

  • Any fool can make wine but the amount of passion you put in will determine what it tastes like.

Winery Background

Italian migrants Pasquale and Vicki Vasarelli established their first vineyard in SA's McLaren Vale in the late 1980s and soon found their grapes in demand from wine company luminaries like Petaluma, Rosemount, Orlando and Wirra Wirra. Now their wines are available exclusively through NZ Wine Society. Their range includes wines grown at Currency Creek.
