Background:
When the Vasarellis arrived in Australia in the 1960s, they settled in McLaren Vale, which was perfect for growing high quality grapes and produce for them to continue making the wines and food they had enjoyed so much in their homeland. With them came their enjoyment in Bocce, an ancient and popular European bowls game whereby players throw the larger 'Bocce' balls towards the smaller 'Pallino' ball. This wine imitates Vicki's champion player qualities. Pat and Vicki have utilised their expert skills and infinite patience to grow the highest quality grapes for this wine. You could even say that they're as close to the Pallino as they can be with this winning wine!
