Background:
Gewurtztraminer is a German word for spicy, which sums up the grape's taste. This grape and style of wine has been around the wine scene for many years reaching its peak in the 70s. A great partner for Asian cuisines but also on its own or as an aperitif. Gewurtztraminer flourishes in the cooler conditions of this region, producing distinctly aromatic wines. Best enjoyed young but has the ability to age in a way similar to Rieslings, rich, honeyed complex wines.
