Foods: This classic Aussie red deserves a classic dish enjoy it with seared beef fillet served with a peppery sauce.
Oak: French oak
Colour: Bright red with purple hints.
Nose: Fragrant aromas of dark berry fruits and spice.
Palate: A luscious palate with generous fleshy fruit and spice and hints of black pepper and well-integrated vanillin oak with soft tannins adding structure to the long, fruit-driven finish.

Background:

When the Pelican Point label first appeared on the scene 19 years ago, it was an instant hit with Wine Club Members. In fact, it has since achieved something of a cult following. The 2010 Shiraz lives up to expectations (its followers will be happy!) it's a terrific drop, with spicy berry and cherry notes and the faintest touch of leathery, smoky oak. Red berries and black pepper frame the tasty palate, with a little vanilla-like oak adding firmness and support. Download as PDF
