Foods: Beef and vegetables in red wine sauce.
Oak: French oak.
Colour: Intense, deep red ruby.
Nose: Spicy, dark berry fruit with fragrant hints of smoky, cedary oak.
Palate: Lifted Cabernet Sauvignon flavours carry over with cedar, briar and concentrated blackcurrant fruit. Firm with a good fine grained tannin finish. Excellent length and persistence.

Background:

Bob McLean is a firm believer in the Barossa Valley, and in its ability to produce a variety of styles. He personally cannot understand why it is not a focus of more major producers! These grapes come from the McLean Family farm in the Barossa. Download as PDF
