Region: Hunter Valley, New South Wales.

Foods: Tapenadecrumbed lamb cutlets with tomato and Spanish onion salad.
Oak: American French oak.
Colour: Medium to deep rich redpurple colours.
Nose: Rich ripe berry fruit aromas complexed by earthy and bronw spice hints intermingling with the vanillin oak. Also shows a subtle combination of spicy pepper and tar like characters which are typical of Hunter Shiraz.
Palate: In typical Hunter style this is elegant and stylish with a long savoury finish balanced by firm yet fine-grained tannins. It is well structured and shows great palate length. At just 13.0% alcohol, it's a savoury, refined style which will integrate and develop well with careful cellaring.
