Foods: Beef ragout and papardelle.
Oak: French oak hogsheads.
Colour: Deep crimson with purple hues.
Nose: A distinctive Eden Valley Shiraz with aromas of blackberries, raspberries and black pepperspice with underlying notes of toasty oak.
Palate: There are upfront, ripe berry fruits noticeable both in the bouquet and on the palate, with a backbone of refined, cedary toastiness from maturation in high quality (read: expensive!) French oak. At 13.5% alcohol, this is no wallflower - it's elegant and intense, but thanks to the quality of the grapes, in perfect balance with good structure, fine tannins and a tight acidity.
