Very typical young, forward Hunter Semillon - spice citrus notes complexed by a touch of toast/cashew nut regional character.
Palate:
The citrus characters of Semillon follow through on the palate - tangy lemon fruit and finishes with a crisp palate length.
Background:
The Drayton family first established vineyards in Pokolbin in the late 1850s and are one of the few surviving family owned operations left in the Hunter Valley, and indeed in Australia. The company has some of the oldest vines in the Valley and continues to expand its vineyard base. Here, different parcels of Semillon have been blended together to maintain the distinctive style of attractive early drinking Semillon.
