Mount Benson is located 300km south of Adelaide and is part of South Australia’s world famous Limestone Coast wine region. It sits on hills of red ‘terra rossa’ soil – the same sandy loam over a free draining limestone base that’s found in Coonawarra. The long sunshine hours and cool summer temperatures, tempered by the proximity to the Great Southern Ocean, produce grapes with rich colours and intense fruit favours. Local specialties include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Verdelho, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz.
