Gewürztraminer

Gewürztraminer (sometimes Traminer in Australia) is the most aromatic of grapes. It’s easily identifiable with its exotic rose, ginger and spice characters, and it’s often a favourite of aromatic white wine drinkers.

Alsace was its home region but New Zealand winemakers are producing stunning examples of Gewürztraminer; our finest come from Gisborne. There’s no better match for Indian food.
