Background:
Bob McLean is a firm believer in the compatibility of Shiraz and the Barossa Valley, also in its ability to produce a variety of styles. He personally cannot understand why it is not a focus of more major producers! Shiraz is the most successful grape variety for this leading region, with this being the birthplace of the famous Penfolds Grange. The style is full blooded - dark in colour, rich in dark red fruits with a touch of chocolate and a hint of raisin character. The structure is round and velvety, and the wines are invariably long lived. These grapes come from the McLean Family farm in the Barossa.
