Background:
The Krondorf winery dates back to 1860, but it wasn't until the 1970s that the Krondorf label really took off under the guidance of Grant Burge and Ian Wilson. In 1980 they won the coveted Jimmy Watson Trophy, which propelled the label into the national spotlight, and Krondorf hasn't looked back winning hundreds of awards since. Krondorf maintains its focus of producing wines that are truly representative of the Barossa Valley. Over the years the winery has forged strong relationships with local grape growers that gives them priority access to some of the finest vineyards in the Barossa. This ensures the quality of Krondorf wines remains consistently high from year to year.
